Why "Bespoke"
In Italian there is no distinction between bespoke and made to measure; both are simply referred to as su misura. We use the term bespoke to clearly express the philosophy, craftsmanship, and depth of work behind garments conceived, drafted, and built entirely for one individual body.

Each garment is conceived, drafted, and built entirely for one individual body. From the first consultation to the final fitting, every step of the process is guided by proportion, balance, and a deep respect for classical Italian tailoring.

Consultation & Cloth
The process begins with a personal consultation to understand posture, preferences, and lifestyle. Fabric and design details are chosen to define the character and purpose of the garment.
Personal Pattern
Measurements are taken and translated into an individual paper pattern. This pattern forms the unique foundation of the bespoke garment and is retained for future commissions.
Fittings & Refinement
Through successive fittings, balance, proportions, and comfort are refined. Each fitting allows precise corrections, ensuring the garment evolves naturally on the client’s body.
Final Delivery
Once completed, the garment is finished by hand and carefully pressed. A final fitting confirms the result before delivery.

Alongside the sartoria, the school is dedicated to preserving and transmitting the techniques of traditional Italian tailoring. Students are guided through a structured path that balances technical discipline, handwork, and a deep understanding of proportion and construction.
Courses are available for beginners as well as experienced tailors seeking advanced refinement.

Written by Maestro Paolo Lentini, Sartoria Artigianale is both a technical manual and a reflection on the philosophy of Italian bespoke tailoring. The book explores proportion, line, and construction through decades of experience devoted to the craft.
